ALL Nations Downtown Ministry

On April 25 All Nations Downtown Ministry was greatly blessed as they were joined by youth leader, Crystal Fuller, as well as students, faculty, and parents from the Community Christian Academy (CCA) of Adel, GA. How God orders events is truly amazing to our finite minds. The CCA student body had come to Atlanta, not only to take in the sights but also to serve the homeless community in some way. In their attempt to secure lodging with the Marriott Company God led Ms. Fuller to an employee, Loanne Taylor, who is also an All Nations member. Through their conversation an enthusiastic ministry partnership was formed. The CCA group traveled to Lilburn to All Nations Church to prepare lunches and sort through donated clothing. They also brought along with them a varied assortment of toys, clothing, and food. This joint effort allowed the groups to broaden the service area reach the homeless community in Hurt Park, near Georgia State University, 'My Sister's House' (a shelter for women and children) in addition to the regular stops. To see those young people interact with those under God's social care was a blessing to those of us who had been in this ministry for years. We were able to see service afresh through their eyes. They knelt on the sidewalk by the ladies if the Atlanta Women's Day Shelter and prayed with them, sang songs, read scripture and followed Christ's guidance throughout the afternoon. Though Ms. Fuller excuses concern about rain hindering our going forth, she was assured that Good has shown us over the years that He controls the elements. By the time we got to our first stop He had cleared the skies. This is a miracle we never get tired of seeing. From the motel where we served many children to Hurt Park we continuously saw God's hand. Through those wonderful Community Christian Academy young people we saw the face of Christ. They helped to prove that God has His people who are ready to serve no matter what location, denomination, or economic status. Matthew 7:20 states, 'Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.' Please pray with me that as these young people mature that they will always have the desire to put others before themselves as they move forward in service to Christ. D. Santiago
